Livermore Housing Authority Introduces New Nonprofit Entity

Livermore Affordable Housing (LAH) was created to benefit and support the Housing Authority of the City of Livermore.
The objective of LAH is:
- Acquiring, providing, developing, leasing, financing, rehabilitating, owning, and operating decent, safe, and sanitary housing affordable to persons and households of low income where no adequate housing exists for such groups.
- Acquiring leasehold or fee interests in housing for low-income persons and households that was previously owned by the Authority as Low Income Public Housing and continuing to operate it as housing for low-income households.
- Promoting social welfare through activities related to the development of housing for low-income persons and households.
- Serving as a general partner (either directly or as the sole member of a limited liability company) in limited partnerships and serving as the sole or managing member in limited liability companies which will own and operate housing for low-income persons and households who are in need of affordable, decent, safe and sanitary housing and related services, where no adequate housing exists for such groups.
- Carrying out such other activities as the board of directors of the Corporation determines will benefit and support the Authority.
